Why Siteavail Exists

Imagine your sales team is walking a prospect through your website - and it won't load. Blank page. By the time the site comes back an hour later, the prospect has moved on. The deal is gone, and the downtime cost you more than you'll ever measure.

This isn't a rare edge case. A plugin update quietly breaks your product page. A deploy goes out with a broken stylesheet. An SSL certificate fails to renew over the weekend. There are hundreds of ways a website can break, and in every case the result is the same: visitors see something wrong, and you need time to fix it. Even companies with dedicated ops teams have no simple answer to one question: how do we keep the website visible right now, while we sort out the real problem?

Every existing option - traditional backups, high-availability clusters, CDNs - was either too slow, too complex, or too dependent on the same systems that caused the outage. The answer turned out to be a fundamentally different approach: maintain a complete, independent, browsable copy of each website that can go live on the customer's own domain in minutes with a single DNS change. That insight became Siteavail.

Michael has spent over a decade in web infrastructure, cloud architecture, and systems engineering. Most recently, as CTO of a web hosting company, he managed a platform serving corporate websites for dozens of major U.S. enterprises - where uptime wasn't optional.

That day-to-day experience crystallized the problem Siteavail was built to solve: Even well-resourced organizations lacked a simple, affordable way to keep their websites visible during an outage. Existing disaster recovery options were either prohibitively complex or designed for restoring data after the fact - not keeping visitors on the site during a disruption.

He designed Siteavail from the ground up, drawing on deep expertise in cloud platforms, CDN architecture, DNS failover strategies, and web archival technologies - to give every business a safety net for their web presence.
